Airtasker Marketplace offers gift cards up to $1,000 as an alternative to traditional gifts. Gift cards fund all services on Airtasker, including home repairs, gardening, cleaning and rubbish removal.
Promotion backed by media partners and influencers following $240M marketplace volume in FY26.
Special Report: Airtasker is taking a different slant on Father’s Day gifting this year, pitching its marketplace of services as an alternative to the socks, jocks and slogan mugs dads have been politely unwrapping for decades. Airtasker (ASX:ART) is offering gift cards from $25 to $1,000 this Father’s Day, giving platform users a handy alternative to the usual Father’s Day presents. The vouchers can be redeemed for tasks ranging from rubbish removal and mowing the lawn to appliance and home repairs, hanging picture frames and flower deliveries.
“Our gift cards are a great way to help Australians get things done, whether that’s a friend giving someone a hand around a new home, or a family member taking the pressure off during a busy time of year,” Airtasker CEO Tim Fung said. “It’s a simple gesture that makes life that bit easier. Father’s Day is a nice reminder to give something back to the people who spend so much of their time looking after everyone else, and a way to help take something off Dad’s plate.”

It’s certainly a fresh alternative to a pair of barbecue tongs or a “Number One Dad!” beer stubby.
Building organic brand awareness Airtasker lifted its gross marketplace volume almost 15% in FY26, hitting a record $240 million as its core marketplace grew 15.5%. The most popular jobs on ART’s platform are cleaning, furniture and rubbish removals, and general handyman and gardening tasks. Those are also the kinds of jobs dads often get lumped with, making them a natural fit for Airtasker’s Father’s Day campaign.
About 49% of Australians purchase a gift card each year on average, giving the country one of the highest adoption rates per capita. The Aussie gift card industry is growing at about 9.5% per year and is expected to be worth $29.6 billion by 2035. About 61% of shoppers also spend more than the value of a gift card when redeeming it. Airtasker intends to tap into that growing market, opening up opportunities to generate gross marketplace volume beyond customers’ immediate task-based needs. The company says gift cards allow it to reach customers beyond the traditional ‘I need something done right now’ trigger, with Father’s Day providing another entry point to the platform rather than waiting for a leaking tap or house move to prompt sign-up. Airtasker is promoting its Father’s Day campaign via its ongoing media partnerships with oOh!media, Nine Media and Nova Radio, which generated a 20% uptick in unprompted brand awareness in FY26.
